A small smile was on her face. “I didn’t tell you this because I’m sure you would’ve changed your mind about the dress.” “What?” I frowned. “Does it make my butt look big?” She laughed. “No. You looked stunning in it.” “Then what’s the deal?” Her smile turned downright mischievous. “Oh, you know, just that the color red is Daemon’s favorite.”
I’m sorry…. did I just fall in love with an alien!?
Why yes… yes I think I did.
I have had this series on my TBR for roughly 2 years… but the synopsis kept throwing me off…. aliens? REALLY?!?!
Then I read From Blood and Ash by JLA, swooned with girlfriends, and they sent me the first two books in the series… so being a good friend and needing a laugh I decided to start it.
First off…. lets start by saying this… Superman is an alien… we think he is might FINE and not weird at all… that is what kept me going.

Upon reading only 5 chapters I learned Daemon might just be too hot for his own good… and that snark!
I also loved Katy a lot. I loved her willingness to be open, her own snark and her love for books.
The one line that really made me feel like we were soul sisters is when she was trying to decide if she. could shanke someone with her car keys. 😂.
Daemon finds Katy to be bad news for his sister Dee and the rest of his family, so he’s willing to be the biggest jerk to make her stay away… but Katy is not so easily bullied….
This story is full of fantasy, enemies to lover angst, glowing aliens, men in black, tons of sarcasm, and that jealous ex that we love to hate.
Excited to see what book 2 has waiting for me.
