” You know, for Harper I would have done it for free.. I was curious how much it was worth to you.”
“I would have given you ten times as much. – For Harper, I would have given you everything.”
I am staring at my screen with tears in my eyes. A Curse So Dark and Lonely was one of my favorite books in YA FANTASY. The world BK build with Rhen, Grey and Harper was all consuming.
I tend to dread the ending to series and I dove head first into Vow hoping for the best.
Let me be honest, I was sad 90% of this book.
Vow hits heavily on mental health, depression, and everything that these characters went through, especially Rhen.
I could never choose one team.
Rhen and Harper are the OG OTP and I loved seeing them heal together and find moments of joy in war and torture. My biggest complaint in this book is I just wanted more for them. I craved the HEA for Rhen that he deserved and I found that fell a bit short… maybe because the Cursebreaker world will continue? One can hope. I felt like Rhen was completely ruined day by day and all he got was an eye patch…. ANYONE ELSE?
Grey and Lia Mara are the second OTP and their story was so beautiful to me. They are two underdogs finding a way to lead a new path. One of peace. One of Unity. One of Love.
Their story above all brought me a sense of happiness. Also Grey had me SWOONING!
” I’ve heard many stories,” he says against my cheek, his voice teasing as he drags his teeth along my jaw. ” You read so very many books.” His thumb strokes against a sensitive bit of skin, and I gasp again.
He draws back enough to find my eyes, and smiles. “Surely, we can figure it out.”
But the one that broke me and made me new was the brotherhood.
The years of suffering. The loyalty of two men… two brothers…
fighting for the good of all ❤️
“Had I known you were my brother, I would have forced you to leave on the very first day of her curse.”
“Had I known you were my brother, I would have stayed by your side the same.”
